Hélène Gingras was born in Saint-Nicolas, Quebec. She acquired extensive knowledge of drawing, composition and colour before starting espressing herself through landscape.
She attended many workshops under the supervision of well know artists of Quebec. More 1980, her personnal work and research in color resulted in a very original style that she expresses mainly through landscape.
